Hidey Hole (Wallpapers for Gal 1.03

Hidey Hole is an app that provides a collection of wallpapers specifically designed for Samsung Galaxy S10 devices (S10/S10e/S10+), with the intention of hiding the camera cutout.

It should be noted that the app is exclusively compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S10 family and will not work on any other devices.

The wallpapers available in the app are created and shared by users in the /r/S10wallpapers subreddit on Reddit. You can also find a dedicated Reddit thread for this app.

The wallpapers in the app are synced from the /r/S10wallpapers subreddit every hour, as well as from Galaxy S10 Wallpapers website every six hours.

While it is easy to manually download wallpapers and set them as your device's wallpaper, Hidey Hole offers additional features for customization. You can adjust settings such as brightness, contrast, blackpoint, and saturation to enhance the appearance of the wallpapers. Additionally, Hidey Hole provides a unique feature that allows you to align and scale images designed for one model of the Samsung Galaxy S10 to fit other models, taking into account the variations in camera cutout sizes between models.

The app also includes various features such as browsing holey images, setting wallpapers for the homescreen and lockscreen, sorting options, device filtering, category filtering, and the ability to download wallpapers.

Please note that Hidey Hole gathers images from the subreddit based on dedicated posts with direct links to either Reddit or Imgur. The minimum width required for wallpapers is 640 pixels, and their aspect ratio must be suitable.

Hidey Hole is a free app without in-app purchases, ads, or tracking (apart from measuring popularity of wallpapers). The app is released under the GPLv3 license. The app's source code can be found on GitHub.

Lastly, please note that the motion effect setting may not work well with holey wallpapers. To disable this setting, you need to first apply one of Samsung's wallpapers that allows you to deselect the motion effect, and then switch back to using Hidey Hole. If you prefer to use adb shell, you can use the command "settings put system wallpaper_tilt_status 0" to disable the motion effect.
